This is one of my very favorite techniques for designing flowers. I've used it several times, in various books and patterns. I've used it in baby booties, hats, blankets, bags, and motifs. But today I'm going to show you how to make the flower all by itself. Why? Well, why not? As a stand alone flower, you can learn the technique. Also, you can use it as embellishment. Attach it to a headband, a purse, a scarf, make it a button, or even a shawl pin! The sky is the limit with embellishments!!
For this technique, you will need a crochet hook and appropriately sized yarn. For example, with an H/8 (5mm) crochet hook, I would suggest practicing with a worsted weight yarn. In the video, I am using an H/8 crochet hook and Be So Bold, my hand painted worsted weight yarn.
