How to Crochet Beginner Baby Booties Free Pattern by Kristin Omdahl

Materials:
(1) skein Be So Bold by Kristin Omdahl Yarns; 100% bamboo worsted weight yarn; 165 yds per 4oz skein; color Sweet Pea
H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
Yarn needle

Instructions (Make 2 booties):
Row 1: Ch6, sc in 2nd ch from hook and ea ch across. — 5 scs

Row 2: ch1, turn, sc in ea st across. — 5 scs

Rows 3 – 10: rep row 2

Round 11: ch1, turn, 1sc in ea of 5 sts, turn 90 degrees, 1sc in ea end of row, turn 90 degrees, 1sc in ea of 5 free loops of beg chain, turn 90 degrees, 1sc in ea end of row, do not join. — 30 sts

Rounds 12 – 15: sc in ea st around.

Instep:

Row 16: sc in ea of next 5 sts, slst in ea of next 2 sts along round 15. — 5 sts

Row 17: turn, skip 2 slsts, 1sc in ea of next 5 sts, slst in ea of next 2 sts along round 15. — 5 sts

Rows 18 – 20: rep row 17.

Cuff:

Round 21: ch1, turn, slst-tbl in ea of next 5 sts, slst-tbl in ea of the 15 sts unworked in round 15, do not join. — 20 slst-tbl

Rounds 22 – 25: rep round 21. Fasten off. Weave in loose ends.

Flower:

Ch5, slst to join in ring.

Round 1: *ch2, 3dc in ring, ch2, slst in ring. Rep from * 3 more times, fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing onto top of bootie’s instep.

Weave in loose ends.
