How to Make Bath Bombs for BEGINNERS DIY Beauty Craft by Kristin Omdahl

This is a simple recipe for making bath bombs: they are chock full of amazing ingredients to relax your muscles and elevate your bathtub to a luxurious spa treatment. While there are fancier options for making bath bombs, this is a beginners guide to making SIMPLE bath bombs.

My goal in this tutorial is to empower beginners to try a new project, and assure them that making mistakes is OK! The great part about this project is that even if your bombs crumble, they are still amazing in the bathtub! I always keep a bowl handy when popping out my molds and collect the crumbles. A handful of crumbles will do the SAME EXACT thing as the bath bombs.

When you perfect popping the bath bombs out of the molds, you will have gorgeous, handmade gifts to give anyone! I have yet to meet a person – man or woman – who doesn’t love my bath bombs.

Listed below are the ingredients, along with the quantity needed to fill one mold of six 2″ diameter circle molds. Just in case you can’t find some of these ingredients, I linked to online sources for your convenience. And at the bottom of this page, I have a tutorial video to show you how to put it all together!

xoxo, Kristin

Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Combine all wet ingredients and mix together before adding to dry ingredients. Mix everything thoroughly together. Pack densely into molds. Leave to dry at least 24 hours, and up to 72 hours depending on your humidity, before popping out of molds. If you attempt to pop them out too soon, they will crumble. Even though crumbled bath bombs are not pretty for gifts, be sure to collect all of this as it is still perfectly wonderful for your own baths.
