What you will need:
- 50 yds (127cm) #4 worsted weight yarn
- G/6 (4mm) crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Gauge:
16 sts = 4 in (10cm) in double crochet
Finished Size:
4.5 in (11.4cm) wide x 11 in (28cm) long.

- Weave in loose ends as work progresses
- Turn work at the end of each row.
- Do not turn work at the end of each round.

Stitch Guide:
Chain (ch), double crochet (dc), single crochet (sc), double crochet 3 together (dc3tog), double crochet 4 together (dc4tog), and double crochet 5 together (dc5tog).
Instructions:
Row 1: Ch19 loosely, dc in 4th ch from hook and ea ch across, turn. — 17 dcs
Row 2: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea of next 3 sts, ch3, skip next 4 sts, 3dc in next st, ch3, skip next 4 sts, 1dc in ea of last 4 sts, turn.
Row 3: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea of next 3 sts, ch2, skip next ch3 sp, 2dc in next st, 1dc in next st, 2dc in next st, ch2, skip next ch3 sp, 1dc in ea of last 4 sts, turn.
Row 4: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea of next 3 sts, ch1, skip ch2 sp, 2dc in next st, 1dc in ea of next 3 sts, 2dc in next st, ch1, skip ch2 sp, 1dc in ea of last 4 sts, turn.
Row 5: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea of next 3 sts, ch2, skip ch1 sp, dc4tog over next 4 sts, ch5, dc4tog over last st worked in and next 3 sts, ch2, skip ch1 sp, 1dc in ea of last 4 sts, turn.
Row 6: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea of next 3 sts, 2dc in ch2 sp, 1dc in dc4tog st, 3dc in ch5 sp, 1dc in dc4tog st, 2dc in ch2 sp, 1dc in ea of last 4 sts, turn. — 17 dcs
Row 7: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea st across, turn. — 17 dcs
Rows 8 – 18: Rep rows 2 – 7 once, then rows 2 – 6 once more, turn.
Edging:
Round 1: Ch1, sc in first st, *ch3, 2dc-cl in same st, skip next 2 sts, sc in next st. Rep from * across row, turn work 90 degrees, **ch3, 2dc-cl in same st, skip next row-end st, sc in next row end st. Rep from ** across to next corner. Rep from beginning once more. Slst to top of first sc at beg of round to join. Fasten off.
Finishing:
Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and allow to dry.
