Introduction

Tunisian crochet patterns and tutorials combine the rhythm of knitting with the creativity of crochet, creating beautifully textured fabric that feels both modern and timeless. It’s one of my favorite techniques for adding dimension to simple shapes — perfect for cozy hats, scarves, and home accents. Whether you’re brand-new or ready to explore advanced stitches, this page gathers all my Tunisian Crochet resources in one relaxing, creative space.

What Is Tunisian Crochet?

Tunisian crochet (sometimes called Afghan crochet) uses a long hook to hold multiple loops, much like knitting, but finishes each row with a crochet return pass. The result is a structured, drapey fabric with endless stitch possibilities — from delicate lace to bold colorwork.

Pro Tip: Once you master the Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS) and Tunisian Knit Stitch (TKS), you can adapt almost any crochet pattern into this hybrid style.
