FREE Crochet & Knit Pattern: Slouchy Hat by Kristin Omdahl

FREE Crochet & Knit Pattern: Slouchy Hat by Kristin Omdahl

UPDATED 1/21/2021: The sampler kit of Be So Sporty Yarn is no longer available.

Crocheted from the top down, this hat is worked in alternating rounds of single crochet and treble crochet. The ribbed band is picked up and knit in the round. Designed to be worn slouchy, this hat is a few inches longer than a traditional hat.

The hat would be beautiful worked up in one skein of Kristin Omdahl Yarn’s Be So Sporty Yarn (325 yards of sport weight bamboo yarn) in any of the 17 hand dyed colors available. But what makes this particular version so special is the fact that it uses one of Kristin’s sampler kits (with a sampling of each of the 17 colors included!) Each round of the hat is worked in a different color randomly. How fun is that? And you don’t have to buy 17 skeins of yarn to make it either! The kit includes a small sampling of each color already.
