This is one of those pieces that you can slip on over just about anything. The nature of the bamboo fiber make this accessory so incredibly drapey and with a lustrous sheen like silk. The yarn is hand dyed in gorgeous, saturated colors. Be So Fine Yarn is shown in colorway Blue Danube in this vest.
It is knit side to side in a relatively simple lace stitch pattern (knit every wrong side row!) and the armholes are added seamlessly with a little cast on and bind off in the pattern (think super large buttonholes!)

Materials: (2) hanks of Be So Fine Yarn, #1 fingering; 100% bamboo; 650yd (597m) per 4oz (113g); color Blue Danube
H/8 (5mm) knitting needles
Yarn needle

Abbreviations: CO: cast on
K: knit
P: purl
BO: bind off
K3tog: knit 3 stitches together
KCO: knit cast on

Special instructions: KCO: Start with a slip knot. *Knit 1, leaving stitch on left needle. Transfer new stitch onto left needle by slipping it knit-wise. Repeat from * for specified number of stitches.

Gauge: 2.5 sts / 4 rows = 1” in blocked lace pattern
Finished size: 70” wide x 40” long, 15” between armholes on back

Instructions:
NOTE: stitch pattern has a multiple of 6 + 3, if you are interested in modifying the width of this project.

KCO 105 sts
Rows 1 – 4: knit across
Row 1: k3, *yo, k3tog, yo, k3. Rep from * across.
Row 2: knit across
Row 3: k3, *k3, yo, k3tog, yo. Rep from * across to last 6 sts: knit to end. — 105 sts
Row 4: knit across
Rows 5 – 108: rep rows 1 – 4 twenty six more times.

First Armhole:
Row 109: k3, *k3, yo, k3tog, yo. Rep from * 4 () more times. BO 21() sts loosely as follows: k1, *yo, k1. Pick up the yo and 2nd st and pull them up and over the first st to bind off. Rep from * for 21 sts only. Knit remainder of row in established pattern: *k3, yo, k3tog, yo. Rep from * to last 6 sts: k to end.
Row 110: knit across to arm hole, KCO 21 sts, knit to end. — 105 sts
Row 111 – 170: rep rows 1 – 4 fifteen times.

Second Armhole:
Row 171: k3, *k3, yo, k3tog, yo. Rep from * 4 () more times. BO 21() sts loosely as follows: k1, *yo, k1. Pick up the yo and 2nd st and pull them up and over the first st to bind off. Rep from * for 21 sts only. Knit remainder of row in established pattern: *k3, yo, k3tog, yo. Rep from * to last 6 sts: k to end.
Row 172: knit across to arm hole, KCO 21 sts, knit to end. — 105 sts
Row 173 – 276: rep rows 1 – 4,
Rows 277 – 280: knit across.
BO loosely as follows: k1, *yo, k1. Pick up the yo and 2nd st and pull them up and over the first st to bind off. Rep from * across. Fasten off.

Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and let dry.
