Materials:

(1) hank Be So Brave Yarn; 100% pure American Merino Wool #4 medium; 120 yds (109m) per 2oz (56g); Colorway Flamingo
H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
Yarn needle
1” button

Finished sizes: must be 2” narrower than the circumference of your coffee cup

Stitch Abbreviations: CH chain; SC single crochet; DC double crochet.

Special Stitch Instructions:

Bobble: work 5dc in specified stitch, elongate loop on hook and let go. Insert hook into 5th st from hook, from front to back, pull elongated loop through from the back, and cinch tightly.

 

Instructions:

Row 1: Ch4, work 6dc in 4th ch from hook (skipped ch3 counts as first dc). — 7 dcs

Row 2: ch1, sc in ea st across. — 7 scs

Row 3: ch3 (counts as dc), bobble, dc, bobble, dc, bobble, dc. — 7 sts

Row 4: rep row 2

Row 5: ch3 (counts as dc), dc, bobble, dc, bobble, 2dc. — 7 sts

Row 6: rep row 2

Rep rows 3 – 6 until strip is 2” shorter than coffee cup circumference.

Buttonhole:

Ch3, 3dc-cluster over next 3 sts, ch3, 3dc-cluster over last 3 sts.

Fasten off.

Weave in loose ends.

Sew button to beginning of strip.

Fasten off. Weave in loose ends.
