Behind the Design, Continuous Crochet: Basket of Light Zentangle-Inspired Scarf Crochet Pattern by Kristin Omdahl

Behind the Design, Continuous Crochet: Basket of Light Zentangle-Inspired Scarf Crochet Pattern by Kristin Omdahl

This was such a fun experiment for me! As you may already know, I shared my love of drawing publicly a couple years ago and it parlayed my work into new markets! I am especially excited for the launch of my quilting fabric collection with Blank Corporation this springs, “Day of the Dragonfly”.

But before that collection was even thought of let alone drawn, I was drawing other lace inspired designs. After drawing this one in particular, I thought it would be interesting to translate it to crochet. My fingers were crossed and I desperately hoped it would work. Very often, as an experimental designer, my ideas don’t pan out right away. I am very excited and pleased to announce to you that this one worked right from the first try!

I can’t wait to get my copy of Continuous Crochet! I think there are more exciting patterns in this book than in the first and that’s saying great deal. Keep on Kristin!
