Brave Flower Fringe Crochet Scarf Free Pattern

This pattern features clever construction in a lengthwise crocheted scarf. The beautiful flower fringe is simultaneously crocheted with the stripes of the scarf in a lace simple lace pattern. It would be equally beautiful in a solid color as a stripe.

Materials:
Be So Brave Yarn

1 ball Shining Sea, yarn A
1 ball Flamingo, yarn B
1 ball Lincoln Lime, yarn C
K/10.5 (6.5mm) crochet hook

Gauge: each repeat of lace pattern is 2.5” wide

Finished size: 58” long x 8” wide, not including fringe. Flower fringe is 4” long on ea side, for a total of 66” long

NOTE: Each row begins with the flower fringe.

Instructions:

Row 1: with yarn B, ch14, dc in 4th ch from hook, ch3, slst in same ch, (ch3, dc in same ch, ch3, slst in same ch)x3, ch4, skip 4 chs, slst in next ch, skip next 4 ch, slst in last ch, ch190, dc in 4th ch from hook, ch3, slst in same ch, (ch3, dc in same ch, ch3, slst in same ch)x3, ch4, skip next 4 chs, slst in next ch, skip next 4 ch, sc in next ch, *ch3, skip 3 chs, 2dc in next ch, ch3, skip 3 chs, sc in next ch. Rep from * across. Fasten off.

Row 2: with yarn C, slst to last st worked on row 1, ch13, dc in 4th ch from hook, ch3, slst in same ch, (ch3, dc in same ch, ch3, slst in same ch)x3, ch4, skip 4 chs, slst in next ch, skip next 4 ch, dc in next sc (on row 1), ch2, sc in ch3 sp, ch3, skip 2 dcs, sc in next ch3, sp, *ch5, sc in next ch3, sp, ch3, skip 2 dc, sc in next ch3 sp. Rep from* across, ch2, dc in last sc.

Row 3: ch13, dc in 4th ch from hook, ch3, slst in same ch, (ch3, dc in same ch, ch3, slst in same ch)x3, ch4, skip 4 chs, slst in next ch, skip next 4 ch, ch3 (counts as dc), work 3dc in ch2 sp (on prev row), sc in ch3 sp, *7dc in ch5 sp, sc in ch3 sp. Rep from * across, 3dc in last ch2 sp, dc in last dc. Fasten off.

Row 4: with yarn A, slst in last st worked on prev row, ch13, dc in 4th ch from hook, ch3, slst in same ch, (ch3, dc in same ch, ch3, slst in same ch)x3, ch4, skip 4 chs, slst in next ch, skip next 4 ch, 1sc in ea of first 2 dcs, ch5, skip 5 sts, *1sc in ea of next 3 dcs, ch5, skip 5 sts. Rep from * across, 1sc in ea of last 2 dcs.

Row 5: ch13, dc in 4th ch from hook, ch3, slst in same ch, (ch3, dc in same ch, ch3, slst in same ch)x3, ch4, skip 4 chs, slst in next ch, skip next 4 ch, 2dc in first sc on prev row, ch3, sc in ch5 sp, ch3, *skip 1sc, 2dc in next sc, ch3, sc in ch5 sp, ch3. Rows 12 – 13: with yarn B, rep rows 4 – 5. Fasten off.

Rows 14 – 15: with yarn C, rep rows 6 – 7. Fasten off.
