Coming Soon: The Sea Glass Crochet Shawl Collection ✨

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on something special: a new collection of six crochet shawls inspired by my upcoming novel, The Sea Glass Journal. Each design carries a whisper of the coastal setting, the tides of change, and the threads of love and resilience woven through the story.

Yesterday, I braved the Florida heat (and a lot of humidity!) to photograph these shawls “in the wild.” Picture me in a white dress, arms full of yarn, running from one spot to the next — it was equal parts comedy and creativity. But the result? Gorgeous new shots that I can’t wait to start sharing with you.

These shawls aren’t quite ready to release yet — the patterns are still being polished — but I couldn’t keep them secret any longer. Think of this post as a little teaser of what’s coming soon.

Driftwood Horizon crochet shawl pattern

 Driftwood Horizon Shawl

Sandy tones, simple stitches, and an easy rectangular shape. Like driftwood on the shore, softened and shaped by the tide, this shawl is a reminder that beauty often comes from being weathered by time.

Yarn: Lion Brand Mandala Bonus Bundle, color Chewy, 1 ball.

Starlight Stroll Crochet Shawl Pattern

Moonstone Tide Shawl

A rich gradient that flows from deep navy to lilac, echoing the shimmer of moonlight on the water. This piece feels both mysterious and grounding — a wearable reminder of the moon’s pull on our lives and hearts.

Yarn: HobbyMia Leo, color 11264, 2 balls.

Seafarer’s Song Shawlette

Smaller in size but big on charm, this mauve shawlette feels like music made tangible. Inspired by the lull of guitar strings and the call of the sea, it’s perfect for layering or gifting.

Yarn: Lion Brand Jiffy Bonus Bundle, color Dusty Purple, 1 ball.

Cypress Key Wrap Crochet Shawl Pattern

Cypress Key Wrap

The showstopper of the collection — a generous, seafoam-green wrap inspired by the lush coastal setting of The Sea Glass Journal. It’s soft, enveloping, and full of texture — like wrapping yourself in a piece of Cypress Key.

Yarn: Lion Brand Jiffy Bonus Bundle, color Seafoam, 2 balls.

✨ Starlight Stroll Shawl

Tiered ruffles ripple across this design, catching the light like constellations scattered across a midnight sky. It’s a shawl that celebrates movement, sparkle, and the wonder of looking up.

Yarn: Lion Brand Mandala Bonus Bundle, color Babar, 1 ball.

Tidal Whisper Crochet Shawl Pattern

Tidal Whisper Shawl

Light, airy, and finished with soft fringe. The pale purple yarn makes it feel like a quiet evening walk by the sea, when the waves hush into whispers and the horizon glows with lavender light.

Yarn: Hobbii Yarn’s Friends Cotton 8/4, color Faint Purple, 5 balls.

Why I’m Sharing These Now

These shawls are part of my upcoming Sea Glass Crochet Collection — a set of designs that will release later this year alongside my debut novel. The story and the stitches go hand in hand: both are about transformation, healing, and finding beauty where you least expect it.

In the meantime, I’ll be sharing sneak peeks, styling ideas, and behind-the-scenes reels on Patreon, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest. Follow along for updates as each pattern gets ready to launch!

And if you’d like to be the first to know when the collection is live, sign up for my newsletter (you’ll also get a free copy of my Motif Magic e-book as a welcome gift).
