The Bali Crochet Motif Top Pattern is is a six-sided (hexagon) motif with several adaptations to create figure flattering shaping to this pullover. The sample is shown in #3 dk wieght yarn but can be made in any weight yarn following the gauge requirements for the motifs.

What you will need:

• 820 yds (750m) #2 sport weight
• G/6 (4mm) crochet hook
• scissors
• yarn needle

Note: Because you can use any weight yarn to make any size of this pattern, use the yardage estimate guide on page 2 to determine the yardage for your project.

Gauge: 

Each small motif must measure the following to yield the corresponding bust circumference measurement:

Size 32: 8 in (20.3cm) across

Size 36: 9 in (22.9cm) across

Size 40: 10 in (25.4cm) across

Size 44: 11 in (27.9cm) across

Size 48: 12 in (30.5cm) across

Size 52: 13 in (33cm) across

Size 56: 14 in (35.6cm) across

Size 60: 15 in (38.1cm) across

Finished Sizes:

32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60) in

81.2 (91.4, 101.6, 111.8, 121.9, 132.1, 142.2, 152.4)cm

Note: Garment size is determined by size of blocked square motifs. 

Sample shown is 40 in (91.4cm) bust circumference.

Stitch Guide: 

Chain (ch), slip stitch (slst), double crochet (dc), and treble crochet (tr).

Chain 3 Join: Ch1, slst to adjacent motif’s ch3 sp, ch1.

Chain 5 Join: Ch2, slst to adjacent motif’s ch5 sp, ch2.

Chain 7 Join: Ch3, slst to adjacent motif’s ch7 sp, ch3.

Pattern notes: 

• Weave in loose ends as work progresses
• Turn work at the end of each row.
• Do not turn work at the end of each round.
