The Ember Rise Crochet Shawl is worked from the top down, beginning with a gentle pi-style shaping that creates its sweeping semicircular form. Once the body is complete, an intricate edging is joined perpendicularly as you go, forming a seamless transition of lace and texture that frames the shawl beautifully.
This design pairs rhythmic stitch repeats with meditative flow — the perfect project to relax with as you watch your gradient yarn reveal its colors row by row.
Whether you choose a fiery ombré like the sample or a soft sea-glass fade, Ember Rise glows with movement, elegance, and warmth — a sister design to Moonstone Tide, yet with its own luminous spirit.

Designer’s Note
The Ember Rise Shawl was designed as a companion to the Moonstone Tide Shawl. Both share the same stitch repeat, overall shape, and edging — but the construction direction changes everything!
Moonstone Tide begins at the lower edge and works upward, while Ember Rise starts at the neckline and grows outward — offering a fresh perspective on the same motif.
