Welcome to Part 3 of the Sea Glass Secrets Mystery Crochet-Along (MCAL)! ✨
This week’s motif is the Sea Turtle Square, a design inspired by the gentle sea turtles that glide through the waters of Cypress Key. This square adds both texture and story to your growing blanket project.

Pattern Details:

I used Lion Brand One Pound Yarn (worsted weight) for this tutorial. You can use any yarn and crochet hook appropriate for that weight yarn.
Note: For a beginning chain, I like to use a larger hook for hte chain, then switch to my regular hook size for the remainder of the project. In this example, I did the beginning chain in K/10.5 (6.5mm) crochet hook and switched to G/6 (4mm) crochet hook for remainder of the square.

It is so hard to print out a copy of your FREE pattern. In fact it is so frustrating it makes me feel like I don’t want to bother. I keep trying because I love your products your recipes, your patterns and you. Please please try to make it easier for us to print the pattern out when it’s free. Thank you.
Thank you so much for loving my patterns and recipes! I understand that ads and the format can make printing more difficult sometimes. Offering them free on the website means I can continue creating and sharing patterns with everyone at no cost. For those who’d like a printer-friendly version without ads, I make ad-free PDFs available on Patreon and in my shop. That way, there’s an option for both — free access online, or a convenient printable version for those who prefer it. I truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m grateful you’re here creating with me! xoxo, Kristin
Am I missing it or something? Is there no picture of the crocheted Sea Turtle square? Thanks!
You’re right. It was an oversight. The photo is there now.
I found the picture on Ravelry. Ignore my previous comment, but it would still be nice if the picture was with the pattern. Thanks for all your work.
It was a timing oversight. I have to keep it mysterious at first, but then make it clear. I’m sorry for your inconvenience. The photo is on the free pattern page now.
