Ch5, slst to 5th ch from hook to form ring.

Round 1: Ch5 (counts as dc, ch2), (dc in ring, ch2)x7, slst to 3rd ch of beg ch5 to join. — 8 ch2 sps

Round 2: Slst into first ch2 sp, ch3 (counts as dc), 4dc in same sp, *5dc in next ch2 sp. Rep from * around, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join. — 40 dcs

Round 3: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea of next 4 sts, *ch1, 1dc in ea of next 5 sts. Rep from * around, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join. — 40 dcs, 8 ch1 sps

Round 4: Ch8 (counts as dc, ch5), (5trtog over next 5 dcs, ch5, dc in next ch1 sp, ch5)x8, except on last repeat replace last ch5 with (ch2, dc to 3rd ch of beg ch8 to join. — 8 tr5tog, 8 dcs, 16 ch5 sps

Round 5: Ch1, sc in same sp, *ch5, sc in next ch5 sp. Rep from * around, except replace last ch5 sp with (ch2, dc in top of sc at beg of round to join. — 16 ch5 sps

Round 6: Ch1, sc in same sp, *ch5, sc in next ch5 sp, ch5, (3dc, ch3, 3dc) in next ch5 sp, (ch5, sc in next ch5 sp)x2. Rep from * around, ch5, sc in next ch5 sp, ch2, dc in top of sc at beg of round to join. — 4 ch3 corners, 16 ch5 sps

Triangle Motif:

Ch5, slst to 5th ch from hook to form ring.

Row 1: Ch5 (counts as dc, ch2), dc in ring, (ch2, dc in ring)x4, turn. — 5 ch2 sps

Row 2: Slst into first ch2 sp, ch3 (counts as dc), 4dc in same sp, 5dc in ea ch2 sp across, turn. — 15 dcs

Row 3: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea of next 4 sts,*ch1, 1dc in ea of next 5 sts. Rep from * across, turn. — 15 dcs, 4 ch1 sps

Row 4: Ch8 (counts as dc, ch5), tr5tog over next 5 sts, *ch5, dc in next ch1 sp, ch5, tr5tog over next 5 sts. Rep from * across, ch5, dc in last st, turn. == 5 tr5tog, 6 dcs, 10 ch5 sps

Row 5: Slst into first ch5 sp, ch1, sc in same sp, *ch5, sc in next ch5 sp. Rep from * across, turn. — 9 ch5 sps

Fasten off.

Joining Motifs Instructions:

Ch3 join: ch1, slst to adjacent motif, ch1.

Ch5 join: ch2, slst to adjacent motif, ch2.

Replace any ch3 space with a ch3 join. Replace any ch5 sp with a ch5 join.

Join all motif edges from corner to corner.
