This is a bottom up construction in the round for an easy to crochet floral stitch pattern. The yoke is separated into front and back and worked in rows to the shoulders. The sleeves are crocheted onto the open sides of the upper body yoke for a seamless join.

What you will need:

• 632 (695, 764, 841, 925) yds or 578 (635.5, 698.6, 769, 845.8)m #2 sport weight yarn
• H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

14 sts / rounds = 4 in (10cm) in blocked lace pattern.

Chain (ch), slip stitch (slst), double crochet (dc), single crochet (sc), foundation double crochet (fdc), 2 double crochet cluster (2dc-cl), 2 treble crochet cluster (2tr-cl), 3 treble crochet cluster (3tr-cl) and treble crochet.

Instructions:

Lower Body:

Set up round: Ch3 (counts as first dc), work 125 (143, ) fdc, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join. — 126 (144, 162, 180, 198) fdcs

Round 1: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea of next 5 dcs, ch3, skip 3 dcs, 3tr-cl in next dc, ch3, skip 3 dcs, 1dc in ea of next 5 dcs. *1dc in ea of next 6 dcs, ch3, skip 3 dcs, 3tr-cl in next dc, ch3, skip 3 dcs, 1dc in ea of next 5 dcs. Rep from * around, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join.

Separate for Front and Back:

Upper Back:

Row 1: Slst across each of next 3 (4, 5, 6, 7) sts, ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea of next 56 (63, 69, 77, 84) sts, skipping remainder of round. — 57 (64, 70, 78, 85) dcs

Row 2: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea st across.

Rep row 2 until upper body back is 6.5 (7, 7.5, 8, 8.5) in or 16.51 (17.8, 19.1, 20.3, 21.6)cm long. Fasten off.

Upper Front:

Row 1: Skip 6 (8, 10, 12, 14) sts from last round before upper back, join with slst in next st, ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea of next 56 (63, 69, 77, 84) sts, skipping remainder of round. — 57 (64, 70, 78, 85) dcs

Row 2: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea st across.

Rep row 2 until upper body back is 6.5 (7, 7.5, 8, 8.5) in or 16.51 (17.8, 19.1, 20.3, 21.6)cm long. Fasten off.

Assembly: 

Sew shoulder seams (make 2):

Holding wrong sides together, slst across shoulder seam from outer edge inward. Use schematic for guidance. Do not fasten off.

Shoulder ties (make 2):

Ch3, dc in same st. *Slst into space between ch3 and dc, ch3, dc in same sp. Rep from * until tie is 15 in long, slst into space between last ch3 and dc. Fasten off.

Sleeves (make 2):

Round 1: Working across armhole opening, beginning at the lowest exposed row end st, join with slst, ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in same row-end st, 2dc in ea row end st around, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join. 

Round 2: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1dc in ea st around, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join. 

Rounds 3 – 20: Rep round 2. 

Sleeve Edging:

Round 1: Ch1, sc in same st, *ch3, 2dc cluster in same st, skip 2 sts, sc in next st. Rep from * around, except on last repeat replace sc with slst to top of first sc at beg of round to join. Fasten off.

Finishing:

Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and allow to dry.
