The Tara Knit Sampler Vest Pattern is an easy to knit vest pattern features 5 distinctively different stitch patterns in a side-to-side construction. It is a versatile, oversized layering vest that can be worn over anything!

What you will need:

• 820 yds (750m) #3 dk weight yarn
• 1yd (1m) contrast yarn for cast on
• US6 (4mm) knitting needles
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Shown in:

Hobbii Yarn’s Recycled Cotton; #3 dk 100% recycled cotton; 82 yds (75m) per 1.75oz (50g) ball; color 13 Light Blue, 10 balls.

Gauge: 

12 sts / 20 rows = 4 in (10cm) after blocking.

Finished Size:

56 in (142.2cm) circumferece x 18 in (45.7cm) long.

Stitch Guide: 

Cast on (CO), bind off (BO), yarn over (yo), knit (k), Slip Slip Knit (ssk), Knit 2 Together (k2tog), Knit 3 Together, and purl (p).

Knit 3 Together (k3tog): Knit 3 sts together.

S2KP: Slip 2 sts knitwise, knit 1, pass 2 slipped sts over and off needles.

Provisional Cast On: Knot working yarn to contrasting yarn. With needle in right hand, hold knot in right hand. Tension both strands in left hand; separate the strands with fingers of the left hand. Yarn over with working yarn in front of waste yarn.

Knit Cast On (KCO): Start with a slip knot. *Knit 1, leaving stitch on left needle. Transfer new stitch onto left needle by slipping it knit-wise. Repeat from * for desired number of stitches.

• Turn work at the end of each row.
