This is a modular construction shawl with two triangles worked in an easy to memorize petal pattern. Then the triangles are joined together with a decorative center gusset panel.
What you will need:
290 yds (164m) #5 bulky weight yarn
L/11 (8mm) crochet hook
Yarn needle
Scissors

Be So Easy Yarn; 145 yds (132m) per 3.5oz (100gm); 100% milk cotton, #5 bulky weight yarn; color Sea Green, 2 balls.
Gauge:
Each 2 row pattern repeat is 2 in (5cm) square, after blocking.
Finished Size:
56 in (142.2cm) wide x 22 in (55.9cm) tall.
Stitch Guide:
Chain (ch), double crochet (dc), double treble crochet (dtr), single crochet (sc), ch3, 2 double crochet cluster (ch3, 2dc-cl), and slip stitch (slst).
2 Double Crochet Cluster (2dc-cl): (Yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through 2 loops on hook)x2, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
Beginning Petal Pair (bpp): Ch10, 2dc-cl (see above) in 4th ch from hook (petal made), ch4, 2dc-cl in 4th ch from hook, slst in between next petal pair of last row.
Petal Pair (pp): (Ch4, 2dc-cl in 4th ch from hook)x2.
Instructions:
Triangle (make 2):
Row 1: (RS) Ch10, 2dc-cl in 4th ch from hook (petal made), ch4, 2dc-cl in 4th ch from hook (petal made), skip next 5 chs, slst in first ch, turn. — 1 petal pair
Row 2: Work bpp (see stitch guide), slst between next petal pair of last row, work pp (see stitch guide), dtr in base of last petal of last row, turn. — 2 petal pairs
Row 3: Work bpp, work pp, slst between next petal pair of last row, work pp, dtr in base of last petal of last row, turn. — 3 petal pairs
Row 4: Work bpp, *work pp, slst between next petal pair of last row. Rep from * once more, work pp, dtr in base of last petal of last row, turn. — 4 petal pairs
Row 5: Work bpp, *work pp, slst between next petal pair of last row. Rep from * two more times, work pp, dtr in base of last petal of last row, turn. — 5 petal pairs
Row 6: Work bpp, *work pp, slst between next petal pair of last row. Rep from * three more times, work pp, dtr in base of last petal of last row, turn. — 6 petal pairs
Row 7: Work bpp, *work pp, slst between next petal pair of last row. Rep from * four more times, work pp, dtr in base of last petal of last row, turn. — 7 petal pairs
Row 8: Work bpp, *work pp, slst between next petal pair of last row. Rep from * five more times, work pp, dtr in base of last petal of last row, turn. — 8 petal pairs

Row 13: Work bpp, *work pp, slst between next petal pair of last row. Rep from * ten more times, work pp, dtr in base of last petal of last row. — 13 petal pairs
Fasten off.
Center Gusset:
Row 1A: Working along end of rows of 1st triangle, join yarn with slst to first row, ch8 (counts as dc, ch5), *ch1, sc in next end of row, ch1, [dc, (ch1, dc)x2, ch5, dc, (ch1, dc)x2] in next end of row. Rep from * across. Fasten off.
Row 1B: Working along end of rows of 2nd triangle, join yarn with slst to last row end, ch4 (counts as dc, ch1), (dc, ch1, dc, ch2, slst to adjacent ch5 sp, ch2, dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc) in sp, *ch1, sc in next end of row, ch1, (dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc, ch2, slst to adjacent ch5 sp, ch2, dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc) in next end of row. Rep from * across to last end of row: (dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc, ch2, slst to adjacent ch5 sp, ch2, dc) in last end of row. Fasten off.
Finishing:
Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and allow to dry.

I’ve crocheted the 2 halves of the shawl, but am now having trouble joining them. Is there going to be a video accompaniment to this pattern? And if so, do you have any idea when you’re planning on releasing it? I’d love to move this beauty off my WIP pile.
