The knit stitch is the first stitch every knitter learns. But once you add the purl stitch to your repertoise, it opens a whole world of various textures and patterns. The Easy Sage Sampler Cowl Knitting Pattern is a simple exploration of how the combination of knit and purl can create unlimited designs.
What you will need:
- 200 yds 182.3m) #6 super bulky weight yarn
- US15 (10mm) circular knitting needles, 16 in cable length
- Stitch marker (optional)
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Shown in:
Lion Brand Re-Spun Thick & Quick; #6 super bulky 100% polyester yarn; yds (m) per oz (g); color Pumice Stone, 1 ball.
Gauge:
8 sts / 11 rows = 4 in (10cm) in garter stitch in the round after blocking.
Finished Size:
24 in (61cm) circumference x 11 in (27.4cm) tall.
Stitch Guide:
Knit (k), cast on (co), slip stitch (slst), with yarn in front (wyif), with yarn in back (wyib), purl (p), and bind off (bo).
Do not turn work at the end of each round.
Weave in ends as you go.
