Front (join-as-you-go, no shaping):

Fronts are worked directly into the foundation edge of the Back, then continued in rows using the same stripe sequence as the Back.

Left Front:

Rows 1 – 17: With WS facing, working across first 37 sts of back, repeat rows 1 – 10 of stitch pattern A and rows 1 – 7 of stitch pattern B. Fasten off.

Right Front:

Rows 1 – 17: With WS facing, working across last 37 sts of back, repeat rows 1 – 10 of stitch pattern A and rows 1 – 7 of stitch pattern B. Do not fasten off.

Note: First stitch of right front and last stitch of left front are worked into the same center stitch of back.

Joining Fronts:

Row 18: Working across both right and left fronts, repeat row 8 of stitch pattern B, except work dc2tog over last stitch of right front with first stitch of left front to join them together.

Rows 19 – 45: Rep rows 1 – 8 of stitch pattern C, rows 1 – 8 of stitch pattern D, and rows 1 – 11 of stitch pattern E. 

Edging (for front, back, sleeves and godets):

Row 1: Ch1, sc in same sc, *in each of next six ch1 sps work (slst, ch3, dc, ch3, slst), sc in next sc. Rep from * across. Fasten off.

Godets (make 2):

Edging (for front, back, sleeves and godets):

Assembly:

Sew sleeves to body, centering at shoulder. Sew sleeves into a tube. Sew front to back, inserting godets to lower edge and sewing to front and backs of each side of body.

Finishing:

Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and allow to dry.
