What you will need:

  • 185 yds (169m) #3 dk weight yarn

  • I/9 (5.5mm) crochet hook

  • Yarn needle

  • Scissors

Shown in:

Be So Baby Yarn; 100% milk fiber; 142 yds (130m) per 1.75 (50g); color A Lime, color B Aquamarine, color C Indigo, color D Violet, and color E Lilac; 1 ball each.

Gauge:

20 sts / 12 rounds = 4 in (10cm) in single crochet, after blocking.

Finished Size:

26 in (66cm) circumference x 13 in (33cm) tall.

Queen Angelfish Easy Beginner Colorful Crochet Cowl Instructions:

Round 1: With color A, FSC 64, slst to first st at beg of round to join. — 64 scs

Round 2: 1sc in ea st around, slst to top of first st at beg of round to join. — 64 scs

Rounds 3 – 4: Rep round 2.

Round 5: Ch5 (counts as dtr), 1dtr in ea st around, slst to top of ch5 at beg of round to join. — 64 dtr

Round 6: Ch1, 1sc in ea st around, do not join. — 64 sts

Note: When changing colors, work the last step of the stitch with the new color of yarn.

Round 7: With color B, 1sc in ea st around. — 64 sts

Round 8: With color A, 1sc in ea st around. — 64 sts

Round 9: With color B, 1sc in ea st around. — 64 sts

Round 10: With color B, rep round 5. — 64 sts

Round 11: With color B, 1sc in ea st around. — 64 sts

Round 12: With color C, 1sc in ea st around. — 64 sts

Round 13: With color B, 1sc in ea st around. — 64 sts

Round 14: With color C, 1sc in ea st around. — 64 sts

Round 15: With color C, rep round 5. — 64 sts

Rounds 16 – 25: Rep rounds 11 – 15 two more times, while maintaining color pattern and changing through colors D and E.

Rounds 26 – 29: With color E, 1sc in ea st around, slst to first st at beg of round to join. — 64 scs

Fasten off.

Finishing:

Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and allow to dry.
