This beautiful dress is easy to crochet from the top down. The raglan shaping is worked within the stitch pattern. The whole dress is worked in the round and it is completely seamless. Sizes range from 36 to 52 inch bust with ample flounce to showcase the yarn’s incredible drape at the hemline.

This dress can be worn and styled in a variety of ways. You can adjust the color palette by the color of dress or slip you wear underneath it. Same color slip, or high contrast slip will give you very different looks. I made a video showing what this dress looks like with several different colors of slips worn underneath, including soft purple (to match the dress), white, black, nude, coral and turquoise. What you will need to make the Sweet Clara Crochet Dress FREE Crocheting Pattern:

  • 1050 (1155, 1270, 1397, 1536) yds 960 (1056, 1161, 1277, 1404)m #2 sport weight yarn

  • H/8 (5mm) crochet hook

  • Yarn needle

  • Scissors

You can easily substitute another #2 sport weight yarn to make this beautiful crochet dress pattern. Be SO Sporty BLING, Be So Soulful and Be So Fresh Yarns are also #2 sport weight yarn. Foundation round: * Ch4, tr in 4th ch from hook; rep from * 23 more times, join with slst in first ch at beg of round, being careful to not twist. – 24 foundation ovals

Round 1: Slst into first oval, ch1, sc in same sp, *ch5, sc in next oval, 7dc in next oval, sc in next oval. Rep from * around, slst to top of first st at beg of round to join. — 8 7dc shells
